About Us

Pelham Strong was formed on August 25, 2021, as a non-profit corporation in Alabama. Co-founders Rick Wash and Chad Leverett established the 501(c)(3) status with the United States Internal Revenue Service. Pelham Strong was set up for success by allowing donors to give monetary or in-kind donations with the option to have their donation tax deductible.

Among the charitable and educational purposes of this corporation are:

• To organize, plan, and implement A Pelham Hometown Christmas event to include a parade, tree lighting, and other activities for citizens of the City of Pelham, Alabama.
• To organize, plan, and implement a toy drive by working with the Department of Human Resources (DHR) and Pelham City Schools to identify families in need to allow the parents to provide Christmas gifts to their children. The families are also offered a traditional Christmas meal to enjoy during the holiday season.
• To organize, plan, and implement a bicycle rodeo for the children of Pelham, Alabama during the summer months. Through this event, we hope to foster sports competitions and outdoor activities.
• To organize, plan, and implement a system for residents and businesses in Pelham, Alabama, to be considered for financial support, including higher education scholarships.
